HAPPYxen Values

This document defines the core values we expect everyone to display at Xeno. Values are the behaviors we must display when no one is looking. It's our inner voice that brings us together to achieve our mission.

Uncompromising Integrity & Respect Always

Integrity: We believe in achieving the right results the right way. In moments where shortcuts might seem tempting, we choose honesty. We’re committed to treating our customers fairly and building trust through genuine actions. Integrity compounds over time and is the foundation of our lasting success.

  • X owns up to mistakes right away and takes responsibility for fixing them
  • X keeps promises and speaks up early if timelines need to change
  • X does not share different versions of their feelings/ story with different people

Respect: Different and diverse people will have to come together to create an impact in this world. We will respect each other and treat each other equally. Respect is at the core of our culture.

  • X treats all colleagues with equal respect, regardless of team or seniority.
  • X engages in open, honest conversations, even when they’re difficult, but always with respect. 
  • X focuses feedback on specific actions or behaviors, not personal character.
  • X values and respects each other’s time, recognizing it as our limited resource.

Start from Customers

We start with the customer and work backward. Always ask: What do they need? Why do they need it? How can we make their life better? We believe that doing right by customers, even at our expense today, builds lasting trust for tomorrow. Better to have 100 thriving customers than 1000 struggling ones!

  • X focuses on addressing root issues rather than just discussing feature requests. 
  • X fights for customer success, even when it's the harder path.
  • When making prioritization decisions, X doesn’t just focus on one customer but focuses on making the majority of our customers succeed with Xeno

Drive Outcomes 

Start with the end in mind - we must know what winning looks like. A clear goal helps everyone make better choices. We care more about reaching our targets than following fixed steps. Once we succeed, we'll figure out how to repeat it. Sometimes you need to find new paths to reach your destination!

  • X communicates progress by outcomes – Reports results, not just activities
  • If X didn’t achieve the outcome even if due to external factors X owns up to the missed outcome
  • X seeks continuous improvement – Learns from each success to repeat and enhance outcomes

Own it, end-to-end

One person fully owns the goal, but everyone helps reach it. No pointing fingers or saying "not my job." We believe the work isn't done until the outcome is achieved. When things keep failing, it's usually because no one has taken full charge!

  • X steps up to own goals completely rather than sharing responsibility
  • X stays involved until the final outcome, not just their task
  • X doesn’t say "it's not my job" & helps teammates succeed
  • X takes charge to fix repeated failures instead of blaming others
  • X demonstrates initiative and creates, and finds time to drive projects/initiatives that solve problems for the company even when they aren't directly assigned to them.

Trust but verify

Trust people to deliver, but verify the outcome. If someone on your team owns it, you own it too. Don't wait for things to fail - check in early and help where needed. As trust builds, check less often, but never stop caring about the end result!

Stay Relentless

We will never get too comfortable in our skin. We give 120%, and not just 100%, to everything we work on. We win by being focused and fierce, not by matching bigger competitors' playbooks. Every battle counts when you're small - so give it everything. 

  • X persists through challenges and adapts quickly from setbacks. Always pushing through roadblocks by adjusting approaches & proactively finding solutions
  • X goes all-in and beyond expectations to create 'wow' on the outcome
  • X lifts the team and encourages others to reach higher expectations

Think & Act 10x always

Small steps don't create giant leaps. We're building something massive - every decision should match that ambition. Plan for 10x, because aiming for 2x means staying small. Big dreams need bold moves!

  • X defines the 10x goal and breaks it down into immediate outcomes/ steps to gain momentum
  • X focuses on preventing future problems by designing scalable solutions and systems that address both current challenges and future growth
  • X challenges small thinking – Encourages the team to question whether their ideas are big enough to meet long-term goals
  • X figures out how to use AI & technology to 10x productivity
  • X prioritizes high-impact initiatives – Focuses energy on projects with the potential to transform the company rather than on smaller, incremental changes
